Block Time
Available in blocks of $1000.00 at 5% Discount for all services. Does not expire, may be transferred, and unused block time is refundable after application of standard rates to determine unused portion. Block time deposits DO NOT accrue interest.

Aircraft rental rates may be WET or DRY rates. If you are using a WET rate, you will be credited for any fuel purchased for the aircraft while you are renting it, and for any emergency mechanical services needed, if not paid for directly by VENTURE AIR. If you are using a DRY rate, you will be credited for any fuel purchased for the aircraft while you are renting it, _in excess of that which you actually use_, and for any emergency mechanical services needed, if not paid for directly by VENTURE AIR.

A WET rate is advantageous if you do not wish to be concerned about tracking fuel use. A DRY rate may be advantageous if you are willing to keep track of your fuel use and operate the aircraft in an economical manner. A DRY rate will allow you to have some control over the costs of using the aircraft by allowing you to determine the amount of hourly fuel usage you desire. In this manner, it may be possible for you to reduce the overall hourly cost of operating the aircraft.

Please contact VENTURE AIR if you are interested in dry rate rentals.

While non-owner insurance is not required, it is recommended that you acquire a policy to protect your interests.

Insurance
Insurance requirements for the 172 are basically student pilots (under control of a CFI) or greater. The Skylane requires pilots to hold a private certificate and have logged at least 100 hours with 5 hours being in the Skylane. Aircraft are available for use by CFI's approved by VENTURE AIR, PROVIDED that the student is approved by VENTURE AIR and rents the aircraft DIRECTLY from VENTURE AIR. Current insurance policies do require a checkout, and VENTURE AIR strongly encourages you to have renter’s insurance.
